Jewish Food Festival set for Feb. 17 in Venice

The Jewish Congregation of Venice will hold its 25th annual Jewish Food Festival and Flea Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 17 at 600 N. Auburn Road, Venice.
There is no entrance fee, and the community is invited.
Preparations are in full swing as the talented chefs at the JCV prepare homemade traditional Jewish delicacies including mandel bread, stuffed cabbage, strudel and knishes.
A special brisket platter will honor the silver anniversary of the festival.
Food is only one part of the fun-filled day.
There will be a bake sale featuring homemade baked goods by JVC bakers, a flea market, a book and jewelry sale, and local vendors displaying their wares.
Continuous entertainment will be provided throughout the day.
There will also be a raffle with valuable gifts provided by local merchants.
Limited and handicapped parking is available on site, and a free shuttle bus will operate from the Achieva Federal Credit Union at Venice Avenue and Capri Isles Boulevard throughout the day.
