The Museum of Art and Circus Museum, including the Tibbals Learning Center will be free of charge on Saturday September 22, 2018, as part of Smithsonian magazine’s annual Museum Day Live! Come as a family to explore paintings and sculptures in the Museum of Art, participate in a scavenger hunt through the Circus Museum, and enjoy the grounds and Playspace all together!
Circus Museum and Tibbals Learning Center: Walk the wire, squeeze into a clown car, be amazed by the world’s largest miniature circus, and learn about Sarasota’s rich circus heritage. Be sure to check out the current Circus Poster Gallery exhibition, 250 Years of Circus in Print.
Hey Kids! Pick up a self-guided scavenger hunt in the Visitors Pavilion that will lead you through the Circus Museums and teach you what life was life under the big top!
Museum of Art: Built by John and Mable Ringling to house their collection, the galleries feature paintings and sculptures by Old Masters. Friendly docents are available in the galleries to guide your experience and answer questions.
